About Bob Brennert, Dyslexic Author &
Rum Sommelier.

Notebook

Now enjoying his retirement, Bob has a rich history of over thirty years working in the engineering field of radio in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a proud member of the Western Association of Broadcast Engineers, he skillfully managed a wide range of tasks, from fine-tuning volume controls to overseeing powerful 50,000-watt transmitters. Bob's expertise even led him to dabble in on-air hosting during his time on a segment called "Ask Bob," where he fearlessly fielded both absurd and thought-provoking questions from his listeners.

In 2013, Bob embarked on a new chapter in his career, transitioning to the realm of Information Technology for the City of Surrey, while also embracing his passions part-time as a night school teacher and fitness instructor.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Bob is a seasoned traveler, forever bitten by the travel bug. His wanderlust has taken him to remarkable destinations, including Egypt, China, Peru, Croatia, Brazil, Poland, India, and many more. Throughout his extensive journeys, Bob meticulously captured his and his beloved bride's experiences in captivating travelogues and compelling narratives.

Driven by his creativity, Bob expanded his writing horizons to encompass the world of novels. With his debut work, "The Last Tot" from 2020, he embarked on a humorous adventure that follows a man who abandons his urban life to embark on a Caribbean escapade in search of exotic rums, only to find himself entangled in an unprecedented treasure hunt. While the story may bear resemblances to Bob's own life, it is important to note that it is not an autobiography but a delightful work of fiction.

Currently, Bob resides in Surrey, British Columbia, where he shares a blissful marriage of thirty-nine years with his beloved wife, Lori. Together, they continue to embrace life's adventures and create cherished memories.
